Goes on smoothly: OPI Color Variety: Essie Longer Lasting: Essie; I found that OPI would require touch ups. Winner: For me, I really like Essie. Their colors are great & it seems to last longer and chip less (granted it's put on smoothly). First coat is patchy. Second coat and both still patchy. Third coat and the Essie is a solid colour whereas OPI is still patchy. Fourth coat of OPI and still slightly patchy. Fifth coat of OPI is still slightly patchy but I left it. Used the Barry M Wet Set Quick Dry Topcoat on all of the nails and also my favourite cuticle oil which is Ciaté.
